Rocky Mountain Elopement, AB – Marissa + Tyson

A magical elopement in the rocky mountains, just the two of them and their fur baby.
(oh + two Sam’s and I was one of them!)

Marissa has been one of my best friends for years and I had the pleasure of watching her relationship with Tyson grow from a secret crush to the great love it is today. They planned their elopement perfectly to fall on their 7 year anniversary and what a better place to do it then in the Rocky Mountains! Marissa and Tyson were joined by one of their best friends, Sid the handsome swiss mountain lab and added another Sam into the mix, otherwise known as Marissa’s twin sister Sam Gonzalez. We stayed at Mystic Springs Chalets & Hot Pools in Canmore and 10/10 I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. This was definitely one of the more unique elopements I have done to date as I doubled as a bridesmaid alongside our girl Sam G. & I was the photographer, it was an epic adventure! We started our day off by hitting up the Engine Bridge in Canmore, which crosses the bow river and is surrounded by mountain giants, we easily could have spent the whole day there. Eventually we made way for the Nordic Centre of all places for a picturesque view and more mountain backdrops. Then we made a quick jaunt to Johnstone Canyon and everyone was a trooper, especially Marissa for venturing through the forest trails in her wedding gown. We made our way to the lower falls and took in the epic views of the falls and the limestone rock formations. And last but certainly not least we made our way to Lake Louise, the perfect way to end a perfect day, with the vibrant colours of the lake and the brilliant backdrop of the sun setting amongst the rockies. There we froze our butts off and laughed the evening away capturing more beautiful moments and making memories.

Everything tied together so well, Tyson was handsomely suited up by RW&CO. Marissa’s beautiful flower crown and bouquet was prepared by the talents of Willow Flower Co. and she was beautifully styled by The Pretty Haus and found her perfect dress on Lulus.

Oh and did I mention they are models!!
(and we ended the night with pizza and beer, what more could you want!?)
